Like many Americans buying a house today, your new bathroom may be too small for your needs, or it may be old and wasteful with utilities. Perhaps it lacks features you really wanted, like modern toilets and walk in bathtubs.<\/p>\n

The good news is that you can always remodel your bathrooms with the latest in bathroom technology. You can start by determining how you want to configure your bathroom. Do you want a Jack and Jill bathroom, where you can access it from two separate bedrooms from two doors? Where do you want your bathroom vanities and sinks? What bathroom appliances best fit your lifestyle?<\/p>\n

Perhaps the most desirable feature is a walk in bathtub. A walk in bathtub, as the name suggests, is one you can walk into without raising your leg. That may sound like a frivolous feature, but it can be more practical than conventional tubs. You see, a compact walk in model takes up less room than conventional tubs, and actually provides a higher level of convenience and safety. You can even fit a stand in Jacuzzi in some corner models of walk in bath tubs<\/a>, as they are generally large enough.<\/p>\n

Along with a walk in bathtub, you may also want a water efficient toilet. Thomas MacAvity, Steward of St. John in New Brunswick, invented the first of the water saving toilets, which had a vortex effect for self cleaning. Since then, water efficient toilets are standard. While toilets nowadays use the least amount of water ever, they also have the strongest flushing power. That is not a bad complement to your walk in bathtub.<\/p>\n

Moving into a new home can pose challenges with the bathroom, especially if it is out of date or ill configured. Fortunately, you can always remodel your bathroom. You will have to make choices, like buying a walk in bathtub or not, but the results are worth it. After all, you will have customized it.
